If you want to come and check out a specific boat on our sales floor, please call or email us in advance to set up a viewing appointment. If we don't have the exact make and model you're after on the floor, it could take 45 minutes or more to retrieve that specific boat from our warehouses.
The Pocket Canyon is the cool sports car you’ve always wanted. It’s lively and fun as both a tandem and a solo and handles technical whitewater with aplomb. This compact, playful tandem canoe is ideally suited for short whitewater canoe trips that do not demand the length and cargo capacity of a larger (and heavier) tripping canoe. The Pocket Canyon also performs as well as many dedicated whitewater canoes used for day trips. This allows the canoe to serve double duty as both whitewater playboat, and technical river runner. The Pocket Canyon’s flared hull maintains a dry ride even in large choppy waves and the rockered ends, with a progressive chine, provides a stable carving edge ideal for catching eddies. T-Formex
T-Formex is a high tech ABS plastic laminate, specially designed for products that require structural memory and a resistance to abrasion and impacts. These characteristics make it the best choice for recreational, whitewater and expedition canoes.What does this mean in a practical sense? If you have the misfortune of wrapping your T-Formex canoe around a rock, using a mechanical advantage you will be able to pull the canoe off the rock and aside from a possible broken gunnel or thwart will be able to continue to paddle safely down the river. The abrasion resistance gives you confidence when pulling your boat up on shore or hitting a rock.
Gunwales
Black Vinyl
Black vinyl gunwales are made of an extruded vinyl piece with an aluminum insert to allow it to be fastened to the hull. They're not meant to be super lightweight; it's meant to be strong and to allow it to be used hard.Wood Trim
Ash is a great wood for gunwales. It's straight grained, tough as nails, flexes quite a bit before it breaks. It is warm to the touch and actually makes for a stronger canoe. Ash needs a little care, like penetrating oil finishes or varnish, if you prefer that.Payment & Security
